Where do I get Khai-Hub 4.6.16?+
Copy the one-line command for your system on the Install page, or download the installer. Both check the file before it runs. macOS is Developer ID signed and notarized; Windows is unsigned.
How do I update?+
Open Khai-Hub → Settings → Updates. A dot shows when an update is ready. Finish what your AI is doing first; the app restarts to install. Running the install command again also works. DEB and RPM update through your package manager or the new package.
My computer sign-in did not finish+
Press Sign in again in Khai-Hub and finish in the browser with the same account. There's no code to type.
Why can't I turn it on after signing in?+
Create a link first: give it a name on Home, then press Create link. If you have several links, pick one before turning Khai-Hub on.
My link is offline+
Open Khai-Hub on that computer and turn it on. Keep the computer awake and online while your AI works.
I can't create a plugin in ChatGPT+
Use chatgpt.com and turn on developer mode for custom plugins, if your plan allows it. In a workspace, the owner may need to allow it.
ChatGPT can't allow the connection+
Turn Khai-Hub on first. Then add the exact link with OAuth and allow it while signed in to the account that owns the link.
Can I switch computers?+
Yes. Choose the same link in Khai-Hub on the other computer and turn it on. A link runs on one computer at a time, and the address stays the same.
ChatGPT shows old tools after an update+
Turn Khai-Hub on, refresh Khai-Hub in ChatGPT's plugin settings, then open a new chat.
Does it work with Claude or other apps?+
Yes. Any app that supports MCP can use the same link. In Claude, add it as a custom connector.
What can Khai-Hub do in Chrome?+
With Khai added to Chrome, your AI reads pages, clicks, types and keeps going across steps — in tabs it opens for the task. Your own tabs stay yours.
How do I add Khai to Chrome?+
On Home, press Set up next to Add Khai to Chrome. Three short steps with a video; about 30 seconds.
Chrome disconnected in the middle of a task+
Wait for it to reconnect, then ask your AI to look at the page before it continues. A click or typed text may already have gone through.
How do I limit what my AI can do?+
In Khai-Hub, open Tools. Access sets the folders and the level (Read only, Edit or Full). Abilities turns whole abilities off. Changes apply right away.
Can it read files I don't attach?+
Yes, inside the folders you allowed. Reading a file on your computer doesn't upload it into the chat.
Where do I set house rules for my AI?+
Tools → Advanced. Write instructions your AI receives each time it connects, and set limits such as output size and time limits.
How do I stop it right away?+
Press Stop AI work in the sidebar, or turn Khai-Hub off. Running commands get a moment to finish cleanly, then end.
Why can't it see or control the screen?+
On macOS, allow Accessibility and Screen Recording — Home shows what's missing. On Linux, X11 works best; Wayland limits some actions.
